About Me

I love technology and gadgets such as iOS devices, new software, and innovative social media outlets. I find health and balance through exercise! I recommend checking out BeachBody (Insanity and P90) if you have a busy schedule and want to get your fitness back on track. I’m also a licensed amateur radio and enjoy volunteering my time to help the community at various events.

I find it challenging at times to really explain in detail who I am and what I’m about. Who I am has transformed significantly over the past few years as I’ve aged, learned and discovered much about life. I appreciate each day I’m given and reach out to obtain my goals. I know what I want to do with the rest of my life. This means more than settling for what is comfortable and familiar each day when I wake up. I would describe myself as thoughtful, determined, tech-savvy, funny, friendly, innovative, dependable, and industrious.

Since 1990 I have become proficient with PCs, Macs, and several software packages, including Microsoft Office. I became a licensed amateur radio operator in 2005 to help serve the public and volunteer for worthy causes. My experience in law enforcement communications has been important in forming and defining the person I am today. I’ve been exposed to many cultures and a diverse set of situations where I’ve had to make on the fly decisions that could impact the life of another person.

Learning to function in a fast-paced environment with my team has given me an appreciation for the difference each person holds and has taught me that the strengths of others help form a unified group. Being inquisitive and willing to learn has helped me earn recognition from the police department and has made those I work with eager to share their knowledge with me.

I don’t think it’s possible to have a career goal but instead a set of goals. I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Management which has prepared me for a wealth of jobs that require an analytical mind and the ability to see and evaluate multiple angles of a given situation. I have obtained my CompTIA A+ ce certification and have a desire to expand my knowledge in technology, business, and management in order to continue my growth within the company I will retire from. My ultimate desire is to utilize my degree and certifications to their fullest instead of letting these accomplishments go to waste!

Being so well-rounded with information, knowledge and education will make me an asset to anyone looking to add to their team of employees. I just hope I’ll have the opportunity to explore all of my potential with a company who encourages growth from each person.
